Dosage and Instructions for Use of Lacto-B

The recommended dose of Lacto-B for children aged 1–6 years is 3 sachet a day. As for children under 1 year of age, the dose is 2 sachet per day.

How to Take Lacto-B Correctly

Use Lacto-B according to the instructions on the package or as directed by your doctor. Lacto-B can be consumed by mixing it into milk, ice cream, or yogurt. Consume as soon as the package is opened and the contents of the product are mixed.

Do not mix Lacto-B with soft drinks and hot drinks or foods. If you forget to take Lacto-B, do not double the dose in the next consumption schedule.

Store Lacto-B in a cool, dry and shady place, for example in the refrigerator. Do not store Lacto-B in a hot and humid place because it can damage or kill the good bacteria it contains.

Lacto-B Interactions with Other Drugs

Antibiotics can kill the good bacteria contained in Lacto-B so that it will reduce the effectiveness of Lacto-B. Therefore, avoid using Lacto B together with antibiotics. Give a gap of at least 2 hours between the consumption of antibiotics with probiotic products.

To avoid other unwanted interactions, tell the doctor about any medications or supplements your child is taking, especially drugs that can lower the immune system (immunosuppressants), such as cyclosporine, tacrolimus, and chemotherapy drugs.

Side Effects and Hazards of Lacto-B

Side effects that may occur after taking Lacto-B are flatulence and discomfort in the stomach. In some people, an allergic reaction can occur to the ingredients contained in the product.

Immediately see a doctor if an allergic reaction occurs, such as swelling of the eyelids or lips, the appearance of redness and itching of the skin, and difficulty breathing.
