4. Hidradenitis suppurativa (HS)

Hidradenitis suppurativa or also calledacne inversa is a skin disease caused by inflammation and infection of the sweat glands. This condition causes acne-like lesions to appear all over the body, including the pubic area. Treatment can be with drugs to surgery.

Treatment and Prevention of Acne in the Pubic

Acne caused by mild irritation usually goes away on its own. However, if it does not improve or even worsens, it is recommended that you see a doctor for treatment.

  • Avoid tight clothing that can cause friction.
