Condition: Allergic rhinitis

  • Adults and children 12 years of age: 120 mg per day in 1-2 divided doses, or 180 mg once daily.
  • Children aged 2–11 years: 30 mg 2 times a day.

Condition: Long-term (chronic) hives

  • Adults and children 12 years of age: 180 mg once daily.
  • Children aged 6–24 months: 15 mg 2 times a day.
  • Children ages 2–11 years: 30 mg 2 times a day.

How to Take Fexofenadine Correctly

Follow the doctor's advice and read the information listed on the drug packaging label before taking fexofenadine.

Fexofenadine should be taken on an empty stomach. So, take the drug 1 hour before eating or 2 hours after eating. Swallow the medicine with the help of water. Do not split or bite the medicine before swallowing.

Do not take fexofenadine with fruit juices, especially apples, oranges, or grapefruit, as they can decrease the absorption of fexofenadine. Try to always take fexofenadine at the same time every day so that the drug is more effective.

If you forget to take fexofenadine, it is advisable to do it as soon as you remember if the break with the next consumption schedule is not too close. If it is close, ignore it and do not double the dose.
