Kalpanax - Benefits, dosage and side effects

Kalpanax is useful for treating fungal infections of the skin, such as water fleas, tinea versicolor, ringworm, and ringworm. There are two variants of Kalpanax, namely Kalpanax cream and Kalpanax ointment.

Kalpanax K Cream contains miconazole nitrate. This drug works by destroying the structure of fungal cells and preventing the development of fungi on the skin. While Kalpanax Ointment contains a combination of active ingredients, such as menthol, camphor, sulfur, and salicylic acid, which can relieve itching due to fungal infections or eczema.

  • Kalpanax K Cream

    Kalpanax K Cream contains miconazole nitrate. This product is useful for treating fungal skin infections, such as tinea versicolor, water fleas, and ringworm.

    Kalpanax Ointment contains menthol, salicylic acid, benzoic acid, champor, and sulfur precipitate. This product is useful for relieving complaints due to fungal infections, and is also used to treat eczema and insect bites.

Miconazole in Kalpanax for pregnant and lactating women

Category C: Miconazole in animal studies has shown adverse effects on the fetus, but there have been no controlled studies in pregnant women.

Drugs should only be used if the expected benefit outweighs the risk to the fetus.

It is not known whether Kalpanax can be absorbed into breast milk or not. If you are breastfeeding, do not use this medicine without consulting your doctor.

Precautions before Using Kalpanax

There are several things that you should pay attention to before using Kalpanax, namely:

  • Do not use Kalpanax if you are allergic to any of the ingredients in this medicine.

Dosage and Instructions for Use Kalpanax

Kalpanax should only be used by adults. In general, this drug can be used by applying it to the infected skin twice a day, in the morning and at night. Use Kalpanax for 2 weeks or as directed on the medicine package.

How to Use Kalpanax Correctly

Follow the doctor's instructions or the information listed on the medicine package when using Kalpanax. Use Kalpanax according to the recommended dosage.

Don't forget to wash your hands before and after using the medicine. Also wash and dry the affected area before applying Kalpanax. Apply Kalpanax to the area of ​​skin that has a yeast infection and gently rub it to smooth it out.

Do not use Kalpanax near the eye, nose, or mouth area, and on dry, cracked, injured, or irritated skin. If already exposed, immediately clean with clean running water.

After applying Kalpanax, do not cover the infected area, unless advised by your doctor. To increase the effectiveness of Kalpanax, do not wear tight or synthetic clothing that causes the area of ​​the infection to sweat and become damp. Wear loose-fitting clothes made of cotton or other natural materials.

If you forget to use Kalpanax, it is recommended to use it as soon as you remember, if the interval with the next schedule of use is not too close. If it is close, ignore it and do not double the dose.

For people with water fleas, you should use socks and footwear that are comfortable and have good air circulation. People with water fleas are also advised not to use socks that have been worn and have not been washed repeatedly.

Store Kalpanax in a dry and cool place, away from heat, humid conditions and direct sunlight. Keep out of reach of children.

Kalpanax Interactions with Other Drugs

There are drug interactions that can occur if the miconazole contained in Kalpanax is used with other drugs. The effect of these interactions can be an increased risk of bleeding if used with anticoagulant drugs, such as warfarin or dicumarol.

To be safe, consult your doctor if you plan to use Kalpanax with certain medications, supplements or herbal products.

Kalpanax Side Effects and Dangers

Kalpanax is an antifungal drug that is safe if used according to the instructions for use. However, the content of miconazole nitrate in it can cause side effects, such as:

  • Itchy, irritated, peeling, or dry skin
  • Burning, blistering, stinging, or pain to the touch

Check with your doctor if the side effects above do not subside. Immediately see a doctor if there is an allergic reaction to the drug which is characterized by symptoms such as the appearance of an itchy and swollen rash, swollen eyes and lips, or difficulty breathing.

Although rare, see a doctor immediately if you experience more serious side effects, after using miconazole cream, namely pain in the teeth, dry mouth, sores on the tongue, or swollen gums.
