Getting to know the female reproductive organs

The female reproductive organs are a group of organs involved in the reproductive system, in this case to prepare for pregnancy to childbirth.     The clitoris is a small protrusion at the top of the labia minora, which is very sensitive and is the main source of female sexual pleasure.

  • Bartholin's glands or vestibular glands

    These glands are located on either side of the vaginal opening, and function to produce thick mucus to lubricate the vagina during sexual intercourse.

Inner Female Reproductive Organs

The female reproductive organs are in the body, located in the pelvic cavity (pelvis). These organs include:

  • Vagina

    This organ is located between the lower part of the uterus and the outside of the body. The vagina is the passageway or exit for childbirth, as well as the entry point for the penis during sexual intercourse.

  • Cervix or cervix

    The cervix is ​​the entrance between the vagina and the uterus, which is a narrow passageway. The cervical wall is flexible, so it can stretch and open the birth canal during labor.

  • Uterus or uterus

    It is a pear-shaped organ that houses the developing fetus.

  • Ovaries (ovaries)

    This organ is a small oval-shaped gland located on either side of the uterus. The ovaries function to produce eggs and produce the main sex hormones, namely estrogen and progesterone, which are released into the bloodstream.

  • Channel egg or fallopian tube

    The fallopian tubes are narrow tubes that attach to the top of the uterus leading to the ovaries. This channel is the path for the egg from the ovary to the uterus, as well as the place where the egg is fertilized by the sperm.

Just like other body parts, female reproductive organs have a very important role.
