The whole procedure usually only takes about 15–45 minutes and you can go home right after.
The results of nose fillers will generally be really visible within 1-2 weeks. After the nose filler procedure, most patients can immediately return to work and activities as usual on the same day or the next day.
Nose Filler Risk
The most common side effect of nasal fillers is redness or discomfort at the injection site for about 1-2 days after the procedure. Other side effects that may occur after a nose filler procedure include:
- Bruises
- Swollen
- Nauseous
- Transfer of gel filler, usually to other areas of the nose or under the eyes.
- Tissue death and partial decay of the nasal area due to filler material entering the blood vessels

Preparations You Can Do Before Nose Fillers
The preparation that needs to be done can vary, depending on the type of gel filler that will be used for your nose filler procedure. However, there are some general things that you can prepare before the nose filler procedure is carried out, namely:
- Avoid taking anti-inflammatory drugs, aspirin, vitamin E supplements, and blood thinners a week before your nose filler.
- Eat foods rich in vitamin K to reduce the risk of bruising.
- Avoid overeating just before doing nose fillers to avoid the risk of nausea.
- Consume foods that are rich in carbohydrates and protein just before doing nose fillers.
- Drink plenty of water just before and after nose fillers.
As said earlier, nose fillers are a temporary nose reshaping method and cannot significantly and permanently change the shape of the nose.
If you want significant changes to your nose, nose fillers may not be the right procedure for you. However, if you intend to try a minimal and non-permanent change, a nose filler may be the right choice.
