Health Protocols Outside and Inside the Home to Protect Families from COVID-19

Even though the COVID-19 vaccination program has been running, you and your family must still be disciplined in implementing health protocols to prevent transmission of the Corona virus. This health protocol must not only be applied outside the home, but also inside the house.

Adaptation of new habits or IMR does allow everyone to carry out activities as usual. Unfortunately, there are still many people who ignore and don't follow health protocols, even though the COVID-19 pandemic is not over. As a result, some hospitals are still filled with patients with viral infections that attack the respiratory tract.

Apply Health Protocols When Outside the Home

Staying at home all the time can be boring. It's okay to leave the house once in a while, isn't it, Bun. However, make sure you and your family implement health protocols, okay?

The following are health protocols that must be followed when outside the home:

1. Always wear a mask

When you and your family are out of the house, don't forget to always wear a mask. It doesn't have to be a medical mask, a cloth mask can do it. However, make sure its use follows health standards, yes. This also applies to children, you know.

In crowded places where social distancing is difficult, cloth masks can be used as part of a double mask, which is a combination of a surgical mask (inside) and a 3-ply cloth mask (outer).

The use of masks when outside the home is an obligation in the midst of a pandemic like today. Even though you and your family are not in a closed place filled with crowds, try not to take off your masks, because we don't know who is carrying the Corona virus.

2. Don't touch things in public

Even though the place where you and your family are visiting is quiet, it would be nice not to touch objects in public places because it is feared that these objects have been exposed to the Corona virus.

The reason is, if you hold a contaminated object, then touch the face area without washing your hands first, the risk of contracting COVID-19 will be greater.

3. Always keep your distance

Make sure to always keep your distance or physical distancing 1–2 meters away from other people when outdoors, such as in restaurants, gyms, or swimming pools. This aims to prevent you and your family from being exposed to the Corona virus when other people sneeze, cough, or spit near you.

4. Take good care of yourself and family members

Bring it always hand sanitizer containing at least 60% alcohol wherever you and your family go. If necessary, give each family member 1 hand sanitizer to carry everywhere. This is especially useful for cleaning hands when soap and water are not available.

Health Protocols at Home After Activities

Keeping clean does not only apply outside the home. Arriving at home after traveling, Mother needs to make a rule to immediately take a shower that applies to all family members, without exception.

If necessary, provide a special clothes basket for clothes and masks used for traveling, so that germs do not stick to other dirty clothes. If possible, immediately wash masks and clothing that has been worn on the go.

When showering, don't forget to shampoo and lather every part of the body, okay? To protect your family from all kinds of bacteria outside the home, choose a soap that contains antibacterial ingredients, such as IPMP and sanisol. Both of these antibacterial bath soaps are effective in repelling germs and keeping the skin healthy and clean from germs.

In addition, also clean items that are taken out of the house, such as bags, wallets, or WL. You also need to remind family members so they don't miss this.

Corona virus transmission can happen to anyone and anywhere. Therefore, always apply health protocols as a preventive measure to protect yourself and your family.

After getting the COVID-19 vaccine, some may feel that they are completely safe against the disease, even though this is not true. This is called the Peltzman effect. Even though you have received the COVID-19 vaccine, you still need to follow health protocols to avoid transmission of the Corona virus.

If you or a family member experience symptoms of COVID-19, such as cough, fever, and runny nose, accompanied by weakness and shortness of breath after traveling, immediately self-isolate and contact hotline COVID-19 at 119 Ext. 9 for further guidance.

To check whether your condition or family members are at risk for COVID-19, you can use the COVID-19 risk check feature on ALODOKTER. To be more clear, Mother can also consult a doctor through chat in the ALODOKTER application.
