Hemorrhoid disease cannot be taken lightly and simply ignored. The reason is, there are several dangers that can occur if this condition is left unchecked, namely:
- Bleeding.
- Thrombosis (blood clot) in a swollen blood vessel.
- Anemia or lack of red blood cells, especially if the bleeding lasts a long time.
- Strangulate hemorrhoids. This condition occurs when the swelling that occurs causes disruption of the flow of oxygen to the hemorrhoid. Strangulated hemorrhoids can be very painful, and can even cause the tissue around the anus to die. This condition needs to be treated immediately with surgery.
In order to avoid the danger of hemorrhoids, you are advised to take preventive steps as early as possible. Starting with adequate fluid intake, eating foods that contain lots of fiber, exercising regularly, and avoiding taking any medication.
