Dosage and Instructions for Use Acyclovir Tablet

Acyclovir tablets should only be used as directed by a doctor. The following are general doses of acyclovir tablets based on the patient's condition and age:

Condition: genital herpes

  • Mature: When first exposed, the dose is 200–400 mg, 5 times per day (every 4 hours), for 5–10 days. For prevention of relapse, the dose is 200–400 mg, 4 times per day (every 6 hours).

  • Children aged 2 years n :Same as the adult dose.

  • Mature: 800 mg, 4-5 times per day, for 5-7 days
  • Child-children 2 years old: 20 mg/kg, 4 times per day for 5 days. The maximum daily dose is 800 mg.

How to Consume AcyclovirTablets Correctly

Follow the doctor's advice and read the information listed on the medicine package before taking acyclovir tablets. Do not reduce or increase the dose without consulting your doctor first

Acyclovir tablets can be taken before or after meals. Swallow the medicine whole with a glass of water. Make sure there is adequate and regular intervals between one dose and the next.
